We all know fruit smoothies are in the rage now. The Banana Ginger smoothies recipe is an excellent way to nourish our body with essential nutrients and in a fun way too.

This alkaline-based drink is perfect for combating acid heat burn and for those looking to shed some weight especially belly fat you should try this recipe.  

The banana contains potassium which lowers blood pressure, vitamin C to boost the immune system, fibre, and pectin which helps remove toxin substances from the body by improving the digestive system and resistant starch to replete hunger. Not forgetting it’s very filling, gives energy and it’s also a sweetener.

Ginger, which is one of my favourite spices, and yes, it’s one of the healthiest spices in the world, reduces nausea, morning sickness, motion sickness and cures other types of digestive diseases. The cholesterol present balances the body and makes metabolism strong which doesn’t cause fat. Also, the ginger’s pungent, spicy taste adds to the uniqueness of this drink and gives it a distinct flavour.

Here Are The Ingredients For The Banana Ginger Smoothies Recipe

  1. 2 bananas(ripe)
  2. 3/4 (6.0z) vanilla yoghurt
  3. 2 tbsp honey
  4. 1 tbsp of freshly grated ginger
  5. 2 tbsp of milk
  6. 1/2 cup of ice

Preparation:

• Combine the banana, yoghurt, ice, honey, ginger, and milk, then blend till it’s smooth  

Note   

You can use sugar instead of honey. It’s thick, creamy and yummy. A very healthy and nutritious breakfast. For those that want to shed weight, it’s best taken on an empty stomach.
